Born Friday, February 13, 2004 at 12:49 p.m. in our dining room (retrofitted to become a bedroom), Willa weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces in a frame 19 inches long. Everything went well, albeit a little early (5 days). But Mommy and baby girl are doing fine.

Thanks to our Midwives from Womancare and our Doula from Wholistic Body Works and all of our friends and neighbors who helped out on such short notice. In our household, nothing has ever come early before, which explains why we have yet to decide on a middle name.

Neva (4 1/4 years old), Milo (20 months), Kathleen (are you kidding!), Bob (you wouldn't believe it anyway) and now Willa.
